E-wrap 52 stitches
or use a weaving cast-on. Hang weight. |

Knit 15 rows. |

Transfer every other
stitch to the adjacent needle. Bring empty needles back to work
position. This will form a picot. |

If no name or design
is being placed on the cuff, knit 16 rows and skip to step 11. |

design, it should be 9 rows. Place isolators on center 24
stitches. Knit 3 rows |

Lock card and set
carriage to SM (single motif). |

Unlock card.
Place contrast yarn in Feeder B. Push in MC button. |

Knit 9 rows making
sure to wrap end needles to avoid holes. Turn off SM. |

Knit 3 rows. |

Hang e-wrapped
stitches on working needles. This forms cuff.
CHANGE COLOR if main part of stocking is a different color than cuff.
CHANGE TO TENSION 7 and knit 1 row |

Set carriage to hold
position. Carriage on right. Place needles left of zero into hold
position. Short-row by placing needle next to carriage into hold
and knit 1 row. Continue until 14 stitches remain in center.
Reverse short-rowing by placing needle opposite carriage back to work.
Continue until all needles are back in work position. |

If you wish it put date or design in instep choose a design or date that
is 9 rows high. Place in the center of total of 30 rows. It will
