Mini-Pumpkin
 

Materials:  

Small amounts of orange, black, green and brown yarn.

Machine:         Standard Brother (electronic or   punchcard)

Yarn:               

2 strands of 2/24

Tension:  

5

 Main Body:

1.   CO 46S using weaving CO.

2.   K11R with orange.

3.   Knit face (see punchcard below).  (For punch card use isolators;
for electronic,  set to KC II and make sure to isolate.)

4.   K11R (rows ending on the right) sew off with a double-eyed needle.
Pull tail to gather top and sew seam.
 

Stalk:

1.   TEN 4.  Using brown, make a 4-stitch cord (E-wrap 4 stitches,
push 1 part button in; knit 14 rows).


Leaves:

1.      E-wrap 1 stitch,  K1R.

2.      INC 1 stitch on left, K1R.

3.      INC 1 stitch on right.

4.      K5R.

5.      DEC 1 stitch on carriage side until 1 stitch remains.

6.      Do not break yarn.  Repeat steps 1 - 5.  Break yarn.

7.      Pick-up 1 stitch in center of 1st and 2nd leaves and repeat steps 1 - 5.

Finishing:

1.      Attach leaves and stalk to top of pumpkin.

2.      Fill with fiber-fill and pull CO tail to gather.
